Delete your account and its data
The GoldSilverPortfolio website and the GoldSilverPortfolio Tracker app share one account. This page says how to delete it, what is deleted with it and what is kept.
Delete it yourself
It takes a minute, and it takes effect at once.
Deleting cannot be undone. The steps are the same on the website and in the app, so you do not need the app installed.
- Sign in at goldsilverportfolio.com, or in the app.
- Open your account page.
- Under “Your data”, find “Delete account”, choose “Delete my account” and confirm.
Or ask us to delete it
If you cannot sign in, email theexplorerpreneur@gmail.com from the address your account uses and say that you want the account deleted. We delete it and reply to confirm.
Before you delete
If you want a copy of your record, export it first: your account page has “Export my data”. Photos and documents are downloaded from the purchase or sale they belong to.
Deleting your account also cancels a Premium subscription. To be certain that no further payment is taken, cancel it yourself first, from your account page on the website.
What is deleted
Everything saved to your account:
Your trusted contacts are emailed that they are no longer your contacts.
- your email address, your password and the account itself;
- your purchases and sales, their history, and the serial and certificate numbers you recorded;
- the photos and documents you stored;
- your storage locations and their encrypted details;
- your trusted contacts and the log of their requests;
- your monthly reports, your alerts, your Academy progress and your settings;
- the usage records linked to your account.
What is kept
Deleting your account does not reach these:
- Billing records. Stripe, our payment processor, and we may keep limited billing records where the law requires them for tax or accounting.
- A record kept without an account. It lives only in your browser, or in the app on your phone. Clearing the site’s data, or removing the app, deletes it.
- A message sent through the contact form. Formspree holds it until your inquiry is answered; ask us if you want it deleted.
- Usage records never linked to an account. They name no one, and they are deleted automatically after 13 months.
- A legacy file you gave to someone. We never had it and cannot take it back.
Deleting some of your data and keeping the account
On My Stack you can delete a purchase that has no sales, a photo or document, a storage location or a trusted contact on its own. In your account settings you can switch off the record of the days you use the site, which deletes the days already recorded.
